Cialis is an oral therapy treatment option for Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and is distributed worldwide. Cialis is currently one of the three leading ED treatment options available. Cialis is a PDE5 inhibitor and works by being rapidly introduced into the bloodstream following oral ingestion. The PDE5 enzyme is what controls blood flow to the main arteries in the penis. When disabled, the arteries relax and allow for proper blood flow to the main shaft of the penis, allowing for a sustained and fuller erection that lasts the duration of sexual activity.
Cialis will work for most adult males who suffer from impotency or ED. In clinical trials a vast majority of the patients given Cialis, in combination with those who were administered a placebo (sugar pill) Cialis was proven to provide an erection, even when the patients were unable to achieve an erection prior. Cialis also provided those patients with a longer-lasting erection and the ability to keep that erection throughout the duration of intercourse and most males reported satisfaction with their sexual performance.
While Cialis will work for most people, there is a chance that it may not work for some. However, based upon the clinical studies, it is most likely that Cialis will work for you if you are currently suffering from ED. Always make sure to consult with your physician prior to taking Cialis, to assure that it is the right ED drug for you, as everyone has a unique medical situation which may require differing forms of treatment.
There are some common side effects that you might experience from taking Cialis which include: stuffy or running nose, upset stomach, facial flushing, and in some cases a visual blurring and the presence of a blue-tint in the vision. In rare cases, a prolonged erection (lasting more than four hours) was reported, which should be treated at a hospital right away. In extremely rare cases, sudden and temporary loss of hearing and or vision occurred which may or may not have been due to Cialis – if this happens discontinue usage of Cialis and seek medical attention right away!
Most people can take Cialis, but always make sure that your physician knows about your entire medical history, as each person has a unique medical history. Do not drink when taking Cialis as this can heighten the common side effects. Those who have too low or too high of blood pressure may not be able to take Cialis, as well as those who currently suffer from diabetes, prostate cancer or Heart Disease or those deemed unhealthy enough for sexual activity. Always consult with your doctor to see if Cialis is the right ED treatment option for you.
Well Cialis is safe to take for most people there are serious drug interactions that can occur. Those taking Nitrates or medicines containing alpha-blockers may not be able to take Cialis due to a serious drug interaction that can occur. Those who are diagnosed with Heart Disease or uncontrolled blood pressure may also not be able to take Cialis. Always tell your doctor about ALL medications you are currently taking, even if they are over-the-counter medicines.
1-08-2008-The Food and Drug Administration announced today that they have given their stamp of approval on the daily usage of the male oral therapy ED treatment option, Cialis. Originally unable to get the daily use approval due to its long-lasting 36-hour presence in the system, the makers of Cialis, Eli Lilly & Co. have agreed to make a lesser dosage for daily usage to gain the FDA’s approval. The new lower dosage is to come in 2.5-mg and 5-mg daily usage tablets, due out in late 2008.
