Levitra (vardenafil) is an ED (Erectile Dysfunction) drug that was approved by the FDA for use in 2003. Since then it has helped millions of adult males suffering from ED when other ED oral therapy treatment options have failed. Levitra is safe to use for most people and is available everywhere in the U.S., and most parts of the world. When taken properly, Levitra will assist with increasing the blood flow to the penis–allowing for an achieved and sustained erection in male sufferers of ED or impotency.
Levitra has been proven to have an impressive success rate during the clinical trials. Administered to patients in combination with the usage of a placebo, Levitra scored very well, working for more than 80% of the patients. Levitra’s individual success may vary from patient to patient, but it has also been shown to work for patients when other ED treatment options have failed, and it has been show to work in patients who suffer from illness-caused Erectile Dysfunction.
Since the success rate for Levitra is so high, chances are that it will work for most people that take it, but like any drug, there is never a guarantee that it will work for you. Always consult your physician, as they will prescribe the best ED drug suited to your specific medical situation, which may or may not be Levitra.
While the most common side effects from using Levitra are: stuffy or running nose, upset stomach, facial flushing, and in some cases a visual blurring and the presence of a blue-tint, there are other more serious side effects that can rarely occur, such as a prolonged erection lasting more than four hours, which is treatable at a hospital. In very rare cases, sudden and temporary loss of vision and or hearing can occur. If you should experience any of these rare, yet very serious side effects stop taking Levitra and seek immediate medical treatment.
Only take Levitra as directed. Levitra is only meant to be taken one time per day. Your doctor may adjust, raise or lower dosage levels based upon your distinct medical situation. Never take Levitra in combination with any other ED drugs, as clinical tests have not been conducted as to whether or not the combination of these drugs together is safe. Always consult with your physician with any questions or concerns you may have about Levitra.
While Levitra will work very well for most people and is very safe to take, there are some people who should not take Levitra. Those who are taking heart medications which contain Nitrates should not take Levitra, as well as those who are taking any medications which contain alpha-blockers. In some cases your physician may not recommend Levitra if you have uncontrolled blood pressure or are deemed unhealthy enough for sexual activity. Always consult with your physician before taking any drug, and be sure to let them know all the drugs you are taking, both prescribed and over-the-counter.
