When the Oscars were handed out in February, it\u2019s likely that just as many people were watching for the fashion as the awards. And while women\u2019s fashion tends to get more attention, this year certainly helped shine the spotlight on what men were wearing. Here are some of the highlights from the men\u2019s fashion choices of the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All eyes were on Billy Porter, who shocked and stunned in a Christian Siriano velvet tuxedo gown with a skirt worthy of Cinderella. He was fierce and fabulous and it will be hard to top his bravery at future red-carpet events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wearing a purple suit as an ode to music legend Prince, Lee accessorized with custom gold Jordan sneakers (designed by Tinker Hatfield but commissioned by Michael Jordan) and a chain with Prince\u2019s symbol. The suit was created by Ozwald Boateng, who designed clothing for \u201cBlack Panther,\u201d and the necklace was created by jewelry designer Amadeo Scognamiglio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The star of \u201cIf Beale Street Could Talk\u201d looked smooth and fresh in custom three-piece red velvet tuxedo with satin lapels. He wore a white shirt and white leather boots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wearing a pink velvet tuxedo Mamoa, wore an unbuttoned shirt with no tie and Bourdeau patent leather shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dressed in camouflage shorts and a matching jacket, Pharrell seemed oddly juxtaposed on the red carpet with his wife Helen Lasichanh wearing a high-fashion black dress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The star of \u201cBlack Panther\u201d wore a sequined blazer and wide-legged black pants with a match sequined train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The \u201cSelma\u201d star wore his Nigerian colors tonight by donned a dark green tux designed by ETRO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
