Their mean age was 31.87. Assessments took place before they started the study and at completion. The participants were all healthy athletes, so if you have had injuries, the same results may not occur.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>What did they drink?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The supplements contained a protein and carbohydrate mix. Before the workout, the experimental athlete group took 19 grams of the supplement containing cherry juice, pomegranate juice, green and black tea, and beetroot juice. After exercising, the females took 20 grams and males 40 grams. The control group only drank water.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>The brutal exercises<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All participants completed:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">500 m row<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">40 wall balls<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">10 thrusters<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">30 pushups<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">20 box jumps<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">10 kettlebell swings<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">5 burpees<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">15 air squats<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">800 m run<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Effects of the supplement<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/springerplus.springeropen.com\/articles\/10.1186\/2193-1801-3-369\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">results<\/span><\/a>,<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> printed in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Springplus,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> stated: \u201cAfter six weeks of on-going CrossFit training and pre- and post -workout supplementation, the supplement group had likely beneficial changes in measures of cardiorespiratory fitness, anaerobic power, and sport-specific performance.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Muscle damage due to strenuous exercise was counteracted. The control group didn\u2019t have the same benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Strong! Fast! Flexible!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The protein and carb supplements may be the best thing for your aching muscles and keep you on the path to strength and flexibility.
