There are two main categories for preventing prostate cancer and specific prevention solutions just for prostate cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Exercise<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In recent years, studies have found that cancer is more likely to occur with high inflammation. Inflammation is the body\u2019s natural healing response. The problem is that too much inflammation can cause damage that leads to cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exercise is one of the best ways to prevent high inflammation. During exercise the body creates more inflammation which seems counterproductive but it&#8217;s not. When the body senses this inflammation it creates an anti-inflammatory response.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To create this anti-inflammatory response, you only need to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S0889159116305645\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">exercise for 20 minutes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">! 20 minutes a day of exercise will help keep the inflammation down and the risk for cancer lower.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Healthy Eating<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/zerocancer.org\/learn\/current-patients\/maintain-qol\/diet-and-nutrition\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Did you know that a third of cancer deaths in the United States are contributed to an unhealthy diet?<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the United States, it&#8217;s very hard to eat healthy with it being so easy to grab fast food around the corner of your house. Most of our foods include high sodium and meat which are risk factors for cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To keep the prostate healthy, here are some tips for dieting:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eat fruits and veggies with every meal. This will help avoid unnatural products that are harmful to the body.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Limit red meat consumption. Red meat has been known to be a risk factor for higher stages of cancer. If you need protein, look at fish protein or plant protein as a supplement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choose organic and whole grain over processed foods. Organic and natural products have higher fiber contents than those that are processed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Other Tips to Prevent Prostate Cancer<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/24584929\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drink 4 to 5 cups a coffee each day<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsph.harvard.edu\/news\/press-releases\/smoking-prostate-cancer-kenfield\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quit smoking now<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regular check ups with your doctor<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer for men outside of skin cancer.
