Finding and keeping these emotions close at hand is a precarious task.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One day you think you have found them all and the next day you find yourself wallowing in anxiety and emptiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Living in the present with mindfulness is the most obvious choice to find these emotions within yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Sitting meditation<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sitting meditation is called Zazen. It began in India over 2,500 years ago.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zen-azi.org\/en\/history-zen-buddhism\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zen<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> grew from the experience of Shakyamuni Buddha, who realized awakening in the posture of dhyana ( zazen, Zen meditation) in India in the 5th century BCE.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you are feeling under pressure and overwhelmed, the steps can help bring you back to the present moment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To find the basic steps to begin Zazen, head to this easy to follow <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dDJ_wbjBL6c\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How to Meditate<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> video.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Movement meditation<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some people find that they cannot sit and meditate. Movement meditation may be the way to go. Work up to 15 minutes a day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find a quiet area and sit on the ground crossing your legs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sit straight, shut your eyes and focus on your core muscles.
