This can result in additional surgery.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Infection<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Infections are one of the most prominent problems associated with penile implants. Metal, which is what the bars are made of most of the time, are magnets to infection. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, if there is any type of infection in your body, even from a cold or kidney infection, it could move into the bars in your penis. The worst-case scenario is it could cause sepsis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Mechanical Failure<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mechanical failure is always possible when you are dealing with a device and that would require additional surgery. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The rate of failure for the type of device you are getting should be given to you before you decide to get the surgery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One thing to remember is a penile implant doesn\u2019t necessarily make your lovelife better. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It does improve sexual function but doesn\u2019t affect organisms.
