My favorite LOW SUGAR juice recipe!

Lately, I have been on a huge juicing streak. I got into juicing years ago when it was super popular to do juice cleanses and I was addicted. After about 6 months of juicing almost every day, I slowly stopped and lost my love for it, and finally put the fancy juicer (that I paid way too much for) away in a storage locker. Now, 4 years later, I’m back and love it more than ever! I want to share my favorite easy and affordable juice recipe that I think you will love just as much as I do!

Some pro’s of juicing:
1) It’s a great way to get the benefits of fruits and veggies into your diet if you don’t normally eat them
2) Lots of nutrition if you use green leafy green veggies
3) Little to no bloating

There is one thing that is so important is to watch what you are juicing. Things like carrots and apples have way more sugar than you would expect. And if you are adding a lot of fruit and veggies like this, you could be taking way more sugar than you normally would in a day. Stick to greens (celery, cucumber, kale), lemon and ginger as your MAIN ingredients. If you can’t stand the taste try adding half an apple or one carrot but just be careful you’re not adding too much!

My favorite recipe:

Celery and Cucumber tonic (pour over ice):
Half to 1 English cucumber
1 whole bunch of celery
½ lemon (yellow rind removed)
1 inch chunk of ginger

Roughly: 60 calories, .6 fat, 17 carb, 3 protein
If you make this and think it tastes gross. Add in half a green apple!

Other LOW TO NO SUGAR things you can add are:
Spinach
Zucchini
Apple cider vinegar
Cayenne pepper
Kale
Swiss chard
