Manly Clothes Is Making a Comeback

The big argument over the past year has been over what has been dubbed as “toxic masculinity.”

Conservative commentators opined about the loss of “real men” in the wake of those men choosing to get manicures, wear pink, and recycle.

Liberal male celebrities showed up at award ceremonies wearing dresses, saying they are still men.

Undoubtedly, many men are picking up the manly banner with the continued popularity of all things manly like watching the Robertson family in videos and on YouTube, motorcycles, and growing beards that rivel ZZ Top.

For those caught in the middle, men’s fashion is catching up with the need to be manly from the first glimpse. There are three men’s fashion trends for 2021 that will demand your attention.

T-shirt and jeans are in.

There are some definite rules to this, but the tried-and-true favorite of a white t-shirt and jeans remains a staple for casual wear.

It can be paired with a decent open shirt worn as an outer layer and hiking boots for a classic but manly look.

Leather is in.

Whether it’s in a boot, a leather jacket, or even a leather vest worn as part of an ensemble outfit, nothing says manliness like leather.

The cool thing about leather is it can be used in many styles from cowboy boots, Italian leather jackets, and bomber jackets.

Suits and ties are back.

Some men may not adore this trend but suits and ties are the new in-thing for work and even nightlife.

The suits aren’t always matching though. You can pair a suit jacket with contrasting pants or even put an outerwear jacket over a shirt and tie for an outdoor-business combo look heading to the office.

Ties are thin and, yes, even the tie clips are making a classic comeback.

Men styling has changed but there are plenty of looks out there that celebrate what makes men awesome without giving off a caveman vibe.
