1. Stay active

Staying active can help reduce the risk of prostate health issues, with the help of a balanced diet and a changed lifestyle. It doesn’t have to be an intense workout.

Just brisk walking for 30 mins daily can make a big difference.

2. Eat healthily

The best vegetables for reducing the risk of prostate issues are nutritious green veggies like spinach, lettuce, kale, and broccoli.

All these healthy greens should be included in your daily meal.

The vitamins and antioxidants you get from eating vegetables can maintain a healthy prostate gland.

3. Don’t overeat red meat

Consuming a heavy amount of red meat can release a chemical compound called PhIP.

It can increase the risk of having prostate cancer.

If you need to intake protein, eating meat occasionally is fine or you can eat protein alternatives such as nuts, mushrooms, or fish with high omega-3 fatty acids.

4. Drink plenty of water daily

You have probably heard this a lot of times, not only is it beneficial to your prostate gland but also your entire body.

You should at least consume 8 glasses of water daily, and drink more if you are active.

If you decide to have a cheat day and enjoy drinking alcohol and eating junk food, make sure you drink more water to clean your system right after.

5. Improve your mood

Stress, anxiety, and depression can deteriorate your immune system, when your hormones are imbalanced your body becomes vulnerable to disease.

This can be prevented by doing meditation, yoga, and exercise.

It’s best not to keep it to yourself, socialize with your trusted friends or consult your doctor.
