5 Ways to a Deeper Sleep

There is sleep and then there is really good sleep. It’s the kind of sleep where you wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world.

Unfortunately, a lot of people aren’t getting the good, deep sleep and are dragging through the day, drinking a lot of coffee, and trying to squeeze in a power nap.

Ways exist to obtain the deep sleep you long for. As it turns out, your body needs it more than you think.

Five Ways to Get Deep Sleep

Many changes can be made to get a better, deeper, sleep. However, these five ways could provide the fastest results of all.

  1. Use the bed only for sleep and sex.

Reserving it for strictly sex and sleep stimulates the brain for both those activities and helps improve both.

  1. Change your mattress, pillows, sheets, and covers.

People tend to keep their mattresses and pillow way past their prime. Mattresses should be changed every 10 years and should be turned twice a year.

If you have a fairly new mattress, try turning it over. Those who need to buy one have many choices so test a couple to make sure they provide what you need.

  1. Get some sunlight during the day.

Being exposed to bright light during the day keeps your natural time rhythm in check and healthy.

It also cuts down the time it takes to get to sleep by 83 percent!

  1. Reduce blue light exposure at night.

All those electronics have blue light which messes with your natural rhythm.

  1. Create a bedtime ritual. You can create a sleep ritual that settles down your mind and body.

Creating a few different habits can be super simple but can do much to enhance your sleep. It may take a week or so but these changes will result in you falling to sleep more quickly and sleeping more deeply than before.
