The Best Sleep Hack: Fall Asleep in 2 Minutes

Have you ever wished you could just take a nap or get some sleep anywhere anytime? There is a sleep hack where you can doze off in just two minutes which is a technique from the U.S. army.

Lloyd Bud Winter described this technique in his book Relax and Win Championship Performance published in 1981 and it was reintroduced and explained by Justin Agustin in the streaming app Tiktok. Justin Agustin is a fitness coach and he explained in his video how to master the 2-minute sleep hack.

There are 3 basic steps in this sleep hack as shown in Justin Agustin’s video. These steps are as follows:

Step 1: Relax

Lie still and relax your whole body, starting from your face to your eyes, cheeks, and jaws. Focus on your breathing. Keep your arms loose and relax your shoulders and neck as well. Then you are going to feel this warm feeling all over your body.

Step 2: Don’t get distracted

While you’re trying to keep your body relaxed and then suddenly thoughts start crawling up your head remind yourself these words “Don’t think”. While repeating this mantra in your head, visualize yourself
lying in a relaxing place like a canoe drifting in the water or laying in a hammock in a pitch-black room.

Step 3: Drift into sleep

Stay focused on your breathing and the calmness of your mind and body. With steady breathing and keeping your body relaxed as the seconds go by you’ll feel yourself drifting to sleep.

Agustino stated that if you practice this every night for six weeks, you will be able to sleep in just two minutes after closing your eyes.

Keep in mind that there are no studies supporting this method. But it’s still a great meditation that you can
utilize to get a good night’s sleep and enjoy the benefits.
