CrossFit Events Are Scattered Across 6 Continents

In a world dominated by the pandemic over the past year, exercise has become even more important to keeping your medical and physical health intact. Many of those who enjoy the sport of CrossFit have been training harder than ever in preparation for the world tournament this year. The best in the world will come together in the coming weeks to see how far they can get. There are 10 semifinal events stretched over 6 continents and they take the place of regionals this year.

North America

In the four North American tournaments, the top 120 athletes in each region will compete, in order to pare it down to 5 men, 5 women, and 5 teams in each area. The tournaments are as follows:

  • CrossFit Atlas Games
  • Mid-Atlantic CrossFit Challenge
  • Granite Games
  • CrossFit West Coast Classic

Oceania

The Torian Pro will host the top 20 teams, 30 men, and 30 women on the entire continent of Oceania who are vying for the title, in order to get the top 3 men, 3 women, and 3 teams.

Asia

There is only one semifinal site in all of Asia. CrossFit Asia International will also host the top 20 teams, 30 men, and 30 women, but the top 2 men, 2 women, and 2 teams will go on in the tournament.

Europe

Europe CrossFit will host 60 men, 60 women and 40 teams in order to find the greatest 10 women, 10 men, and ten teams from Europe. The two tournaments will include:

  • CrossFit German Throwdown
  • CrossFit Lowlands Throwdown

South America

The Brazil CrossFit Championship will be held for 30 men, 30 women, and 20 teams to find the best 2 men, 2 women, and 2 teams on the continent of South America

Africa

CrossFit Fittest in Capetown will start with 30 men, 30 women, and 20 teams,  and in a very tough competition will find the top one man, woman, and team.

Each continent will find the winners to send to the world championship, and each tournament can be done virtually if Covid-19 makes it necessary. Although the past year has been so difficult, Crossfit itself has made these competitors stronger!
