CrossFit Will Take Some Time for Effects

One of the questions those who are considering doing CrossFit have is how long will it take to see results?

Our world, unfortunately, is one of instant success so a delayed result sometimes doesn’t go over well with people who want to get in shape or lose weight quickly.

No exercise will give you instant results but CrossFit does bring positive differences fairly quickly, depending on the shape you are in when you start.

New and Intermediate CrossFitters

New and intermediate CrossFitters can raise their fitness level to 20 levels a year if they stay committed and work out consistently.

That includes eating a nutritious diet and visiting your CrossFit gym at least three times a week.

The average is 19 months for a new or intermediate CrossFitter to go from a level 50 to a level 80.

Advanced and Elite CrossFitters

Advanced CrossFitters do better. They can move up to 10 fitness levels in between five or six months.

Once you reach level 80, it is going to take longer to reach the next goal with the typical time around eight months.

Elite Crossfitters will take even longer to reach additional levels.

It will take this group around six months to reach the next goal.

The reason why it takes this group longer to meet the next goal is that the levels become more difficult the higher you go.

There are major differences in the top levels.

CrossFit coaches state anyone who plans on doing this type of exercise needs to prioritize nutrition, sleep, and time for recovery after exercise.

All of these play a large role in moving up your fitness levels.

Conclusion

Setting goals for CrossFit is helpful but you need to be realistic about the ones you set.

Understanding that it will take longer to reach goals the higher you go in CrossFit training will eliminate
unrealistic expectations and prepare you for the journey.
