5 Foods Men Should Avoid Eating Now

As men age, they start to feel some limitations with the food they eat. If you can eat almost any type of food when you are younger and not feel anything, that will change, especially when you are over 30. To live a healthy and longer life, here are 5 foods you should avoid eating now:

1. Salt

Salty foods such as cheese, frozen pizza, frozen burritos, and other processed meat are harmful. Because salt retains water and raises blood pressure, it will put strain on your vital organs like your heart, arteries, kidneys, and even your brain. If you are already on blood-pressure maintenance meds, you should definitely avoid eating salty food.

2. Fried food

Aside from salty food, fried food like bacon can cause pain in joints. These fatty foods contain omega-6 fatty acids that cause inflammation, so make sure you avoid food like bacon, egg yolks, margarine, corn, soybean, etc. Instead, fill up on omega-3 from fish oil.

3. Soda and other caffeinated beverages

Too much sugar is not ideal for men over 30. One soda can contains 150 calories and 40 grams of
carbohydrates, which is equal to about 10 teaspoons of sugar, which can cause diabetes and other complications that come with it.

4. Heavy drinking

Drinking might be fun, but avoid drinking too much and too frequently, especially if you want to enjoy a longer and healthier life. Limit yourself to 4 glasses of your favorite cocktails when it comes to celebrating.

5. Whole milk and other dairy products

Milk may have been good for you when you were younger, but too much calcium can cause an overdose that could lead to heart disease and other diseases that will disrupt your healthy lifestyle.

Living a healthy lifestyle can be challenging, but it doesn’t mean you cannot overcome it. Drinking fruit juices, fruits, veggies, and homemade food is your best bet to live a longer life without getting fatal diseases, so practice it now while you still have time.
