Can You Get Injured During Sex?

Injuries can occur when you expect them the least, whether you are playing sports, running, or believe it or not, it can also happen in the bedroom.

You might think that being in the bedroom with your partner will keep you safe from injuries, but that is not true at all.

Sex is a physical activity, and just like any activity, you might want to limber up and do some stretches before you begin.

If you and your partner are not careful, here are some of the most common injuries that can occur during sex:

Muscle pulls and cramps

Any sudden and awkward movements without warming up can cause cramps, pulled muscles, or even spinal injuries when having sex

It shouldn’t be a problem if you had enough water to drink or have warmed up during the day, but these
minor injuries can occur when you did not have enough sleep, enough water to drink, or when you did not warm up before doing the activity.

The pain of experiencing muscle pulls during sex can be moderate to very painful, depending on the situation, so always make sure you are in the condition to move in different ways before having sex to avoid getting hurt.

Penis fracture

An erect penis is prone to injuries. This fracture can happen when you experience a tear in the tunica albuginea.

It is a layer of rubbery tissue underneath the skin that expands when you get in the mood.

You can get this if you try awkward sex positions that have too much resistance at the point of entry.

The pain can be very excruciating and it might require surgery to correct.

Urinary tract infection

It might not be a physical injury, but you and your partner can experience urinary tract infections if you do not clean up before having sex.

Make it a practice to wash up before having intercourse to avoid the severity of this infection.
